Terms of Service

Terms of use for Consonus. The full feature set is currently available free of charge. Free and paid offerings are planned for the future.

1. Scope

Consonus is provided by Municraft UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Balanstr. 76, 81541 Munich, Germany. The service is intended for adults planning software development and similar projects, in a professional or private capacity. It is not intended for minors. These terms concern registered users and guests. Mandatory statutory rights, including consumer rights, remain unaffected.

2. Service

Consonus is a web-based tool for collaboratively estimating user stories. Its current features include teams, regular and quick estimation sessions, guest participation, voting, results, and import and export functions. Users may optionally configure their own Jira, GitLab, or Azure DevOps connections to import issues and write estimates back. Access to external systems depends on the permissions granted there. The available CSV export contains the selected user stories with title, description, link, estimate, rating dimensions, and tags. It is not a complete export of all account or team data. Statutory access and data-portability rights remain unaffected.

3. Accounts

Managing teams and sessions requires an account with a confirmed email address. Invited participants may also join as guests without their own account. Users are responsible for protecting their credentials and for having permission to upload or import content. A free account does not require payment details.

4. Contract Formation

Registration requests a user account. Activation takes place through email confirmation. Registration and use of the current offering do not create a payment obligation. Any future paid offering requires a separate order showing its features, price, and contract terms before completion.

5. Pricing

All users can currently use the full Consonus feature set free of charge. No usage fees are charged. When paid offerings are introduced, a free offering will remain available; its features and limits will be described at launch. Free users do not have to purchase a paid plan. Paid prices will be clearly displayed before an order, including applicable taxes for consumers. Stripe is planned for future payment processing.

6. Free access and future plans

Current access is provided through a three-month trial licence. After it expires, users can use the free renewal offered in their account. This does not create a paid subscription or automatically convert access into a paid plan. The duration, billing, any renewal, and cancellation terms of future paid plans will be provided before a separate order.

7. Cancellation

Users may stop using the free offering at any time. Account deletion can be requested in account settings and confirmed through the link sent by email. There are no cancellation fees for current free use. For future paid offerings, the cancellation process and effective date will be explained before ordering. Statutory termination, withdrawal, and refund rights remain unaffected. Account deletion also removes the teams, sessions, and user stories owned by the account from the application database. This includes shared content in those teams. Export any user stories you need before deletion.

8. License

Users may use Consonus for its intended planning and estimation functions. Rights to uploaded or imported content remain with the respective rights holders. Users must have permission to provide and process their content and use the integrations they configure. We process this content to provide the requested functions. Users’ responsibility for their content does not remove our own statutory obligations.

9. Availability

We make reasonable efforts to operate Consonus reliably. The current free offering does not include a promise of uninterrupted availability or a specific uptime percentage. Maintenance, faults, and outages of external services may affect use. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
